Platform Engineer

Remote working available with 1 day per week in Hereford, Herefordshire
Platform Engineer required by a thriving cutting-edge next gen technology company within the Defence and Security sector.

The Platform Engineer which join a team of super talented peers (and also very nice people) and demonstrate skills and experience includingInfrastructure Automation and Orchestration technologies such as Terraform, ARM and Bicep as well as CI/CD tech (Azure DevOps etc), PaaS, K8S and VMWare.

£600 per day outside of IR3

What you will need
As a Platform Engineer you will work in a fantastic company and have a diverse, challenging, interesting and rewarding position

Essential experience includes:

Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration technologies (e.g. Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
CI/CD technologies (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, Jenkins)
Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings e.g. managed Kubernetes (e.g. AKS, EKS, VMware Tanzu)
Hyperscale Cloud provider Infrastructure (e.g. either Azure, AWS or GCP)
Either holds or has recently held government security clearance already, or is suitable for and willing to go through the vetting process (suitability would include an absence of a serious criminal record, a right to work and live in UK and, preferably,a record of 5 years' UK residency)

Nice to have

On-Premise Cloud provider Infrastructure (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
GitOps Deployment technology (e.g. FluxCD, ArgoCD)

Security tooling

IAST, SAST, SCA (e.g. Jfrog, Sonarqube, Snyk, Trivy, tfsec)
