This role is responsible for increasing awareness of motor neurone disease (MND) and the MND Association through the effective use of digital marketing tools and social media channels including TikTok, X/Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook as well as emerging platforms such as Threads.

A key purpose of this role will be building supporter advocacy through social media channels to maximise engagement.

You will effectively manage our social media channels to develop and publish engaging and inspiring content that engages and motivates our wide range of audiences.


This is a collaborative role where you will be working with teams across the organisation to create co-ordinated and targeted content.

This could range from providing full support (planning, creating content, posting, responding) through to supervision and consultancy.


Keys responsibilities include:

  • Creating engaging social media campaigns across a range of platforms
  • Recognising and utilising new trends to engage with a wider audience
  • Continuously evaluating the performance of content by measuring analytics and data
  • Managing the Association's reputation on social media

What are we looking for?


Someone who is passionate about social media with up-to-date knowledge and professional experience of working across a range of social media platforms, with awareness of emerging trends and developments in digital technologies.

Significant professional experience of managing social media platforms in a professional environment using organic and paid techniques. The ability to effectively crisis manage and maintain the Association's reputation is essential.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders via social media.
