Description
We are looking for a forward thinking dynamic Modern Matron to join our Learning Disability team. The post covers our inpatient wards Willow and Lilac and Granville Court Nursing Home for residents with PMLD.


The role supports the Divisional Clinical Lead, promoting professional nursing standards and supporting the teams to ensure nursing staff have the opportunity for clinical and professional development.

The post holder will be expected to participate in the out of hours on call manager's rota for the Trust.


  • Responsible for ensuring high quality nursing services within inpatient and care home settings including evidence based practice, infection control, clinical environment, safer staffing and clinical audits.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Clinical Leads across the pathway
  • Provide expert advice and consultations across the wider system to our partner agencies
  • To work in partnership with service managers, professional leads and other colleagues
  • To continue to demonstrate advanced clinical skills in practice and provide support and advice re. clinical developments, delivery and coordination of the highest quality care in collaboration with service users, carers, staff, managers, other agencies, appropriate to the service area
  • Maintain compliance with, and development of, clinical policies, procedures and guidelines, including case management, coordinating care in an inpatient setting
