    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Signmaker & Installer to join our busy team at Signs Express (Taunton). This varied role involves the production and installation of a wide range of signage solutions, including vehicle graphics, interior and exterior signs, window graphics, exhibition displays, and large-format prints. The ideal candidate will have a hands‑on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    • Working Hours: Full‑time position, Monday‑Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

    Signs Express Taunton is part of the UK's largest signs and graphics company, delivering high‑quality signage solutions to businesses across the region. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship, customer service, and the ability to bring brands to life through creative and impactful signage.

    Duties Include:

    • Operate and maintain large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminators.
    • Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
    • Application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles and window graphics.
    • Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
    • Installing all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs.
    • Ensuring all installations are completed on time, to budget and to our usual high standards.
    • Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are fitted safely and securely.
    • Taking responsibility for your own and others' health and safety when working.
    • Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
    • Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.

    What we would like from you:

    • A minimum of two years' industry experience making and installing a wide range of signage solutions.
    • Experience in the use of wide format printers, vinyl plotters and laminators together with a strong understanding of signage and manufacturing techniques is essential.
    • Proven experience in a sign fitting role is absolutely necessary, encompassing vehicle graphics application, panel application, installation and use of relevant software packages.
    • You will have a positive, can‑do attitude, be well organised and be able to work alone as well as part of our team.
    • Good working knowledge of design and RIP software.
    • The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
    • IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations (desirable but not essential).
    • Professional, flexible, enthusiastic individual, a strong communicator, well organised and be able to work alone, as well as part of a team.
    • An understanding of the importance of health & safety.
