Description

Are you super-organised and looking for a part-time, flexible role, working term time only with a mix of office and home working? If you are looking for a shift away from fixed working patterns, we may have the role you are looking for.

The Governance Support and Development Service is seeking to appoint a highly-organised and self-motivated Governance Support Officer to help provide our high-quality clerking service to schools and academies across the city and surrounding area.

Our friendly, established team works with nursery, primary and secondary schools and academies to ensure the smooth running of governors' meetings and contribute to effective governance.

Full training, support and IT equipment will be provided.

As a Governance Support Officer you will hold responsibility for the preparation of meeting agendas, the taking and distribution of minutes, ongoing administrative support, record keeping and the provision of procedural and legislative advice to governors.

You will have proven excellent organisational, communication and ICT skills and have the ability to take accurate minutes at meetings.

The ability to quickly build effective professional relationships with senior leaders and volunteers along with a can-do attitude and commitment to team working will help you enable good practice.

Your work will contribute to the delivery of improved outcomes for children and young people in our communities.

The Council is highly committed to investing in the talent and wellbeing of our staff and can offer a generous annual leave allowance, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, comprehensive Health & Wellbeing initiatives and a reward package which recognises your contribution.

We can offer flexible working practices, community engagement and volunteer activities and, as part of our commitment to you, promote continuous Learning & Development.

In addition we also offer a growing range of discounts, rewards and savings.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role.

Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process.

Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
