Driver Hire Inverness are seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for work throughout the winter in Inverness

We are recruiting for the below role to start from January until approx. April 2023

Frontline

Day Rate £12.00 ph. + overtime of £18.00 ph. after 40 hours worked + standby rate _
Night Rate £ overtime of £21.60 ph. after 40 hours worked + standby rate_
Planned work pattern mixtures of days and nights on a rota basic.
You will also be required to participate in standby which is done on a rota basic and paid accordingly.
There will be an elements of highway duties including maintenance works, road gritting and litter picking as required.
In periods of good weather making yourself available for other duties. When not gritting other duties including working in the yard are required.
Carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books
Road maintenance in line with adverse weather conditions.
Flexible in response to unexpected changes in weather

Requirements:

Category C entitlement on your UK Driving Licence
Valid Drivers CPC And Digi card
No more than 6 points on your licence with no DR offences within the past 6 years.
You will be provided with training covering working in adverse weather conditions and route familiarisation, however, experience working on winter patrols and/or within a civils environment would be an advantage
