About us:

Rayne Precision Engineering is a privately owned company founded over 30 years ago. We offer complete machining, metal cutting, bending, welding and painting solutions to a growing base of clients.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to work within our busy welding department.

The role will involve quality checking products & components for defects/errors and making sure they are manufactured to the correct specification and customer drawings.

Experience in checking first and last offs and final inspection of welded fabricated parts.
Confident working with conventional measuring equipment including micrometres.
Ability to read manufacturing drawings and their understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Good communications skills/ability to work with fabricators, welders & team leaders.

Responsibilities:

Daily checking of small to large heavy fabricated parts and machined components.
Inspect and sign off first and last off inspections.
Patrolling of weld shop for perpetual inspection.
Completing ISIR inspections and all corresponding documents
Logging of Quality issues and reporting them to the Quality Manager.
Liaising with welders & weld shop team leaders about Quality issues.
Some offsite inspection at customer's premises.
Engineering background & ability to read detailed fabrication drawings.
Ability to use bowers, Faroarm would be an advantage but not a necessity.
Experience with CNC machining, Laser cutting, Bending, Welding & Fabrication.
FLT & Driving Licence.
Internal auditing

Hours of work:

Mon-Thurs - 8am - 4:30pM/Friday 8am - 3:30pm.

Benefits:
