Cascade is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Administrator to join our new purpose built small independent SEMH school/children's residential home in Hull.
You should be a good communicator with a confident and approachable attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
You will need to have a strong attention to detail, be flexible and capable of working independently, whilst demonstrating a high level of confidentiality at all times.
This is a full time role as the post holder will coordinate and facilitate external bookings of the use of the school space during the school holidays.
Job summary:
- Oversee the dayto day administration of the school (e.g. answering phones, photocopying)
- Book dates and times for staff appraisals, supervisions and observations
- Assist in the organisation of school trips
- Provide administrative support to staff and the School Advisory Board, overseeing the administration of the Governor Hub
- Oversee the admissions procedures
- Manage the induction process of new staff
- Book training courses for all staff and ensure the training matrix is up to date
- Ensure that staff files are up to date and in line with current data protection legislation
- Ensure staff induction paperwork is completed thoroughly and in good time
- Ensure that all new members of staff receive a contract and job description
- Assist with the administration of recruitment including advertising, DBS checks. SCR
- Support the SENCo in preparing for LAC, PEP, EHCP meetings
- Oversee the annual census return
- Oversee and operate appropriate equipment (e.g. arbor, photocopier)
- Provide advice and guidance to staff, pupils and parents on events that take place in the school
- Any additional task as needed
