Cascade is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Administrator to join our new purpose built small independent SEMH school/children's residential home in Hull.

A well organised, skilled professional and versatile team-player is required to run the school office. A good sense of humour and a can do, flexible attitude are vital. A willingness to take part in the wider life of our school is necessary. Previous Administration experience essential, preferably within a school environment.


You should be a good communicator with a confident and approachable attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.

You will need to have a strong attention to detail, be flexible and capable of working independently, whilst demonstrating a high level of confidentiality at all times.


This is a full time role as the post holder will coordinate and facilitate external bookings of the use of the school space during the school holidays.


Job summary:

  • Oversee the dayto day administration of the school (e.g. answering phones, photocopying)
  • Book dates and times for staff appraisals, supervisions and observations
  • Assist in the organisation of school trips
  • Provide administrative support to staff and the School Advisory Board, overseeing the administration of the Governor Hub
  • Oversee the admissions procedures
  • Manage the induction process of new staff
  • Book training courses for all staff and ensure the training matrix is up to date
  • Ensure that staff files are up to date and in line with current data protection legislation
  • Ensure staff induction paperwork is completed thoroughly and in good time
  • Ensure that all new members of staff receive a contract and job description
  • Assist with the administration of recruitment including advertising, DBS checks. SCR
  • Support the SENCo in preparing for LAC, PEP, EHCP meetings
  • Oversee the annual census return
  • Oversee and operate appropriate equipment (e.g. arbor, photocopier)
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff, pupils and parents on events that take place in the school
  • Any additional task as needed
