The Club_

The
Oxford and Cambridge Club is an exclusive private members Club with a Grade II*-listed Clubhouse in central London.

The Club has 46 bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, 3 banqueting suites, 2 bars, 2 squash courts, a billiards room and extensive libraries.

The Club has nearly 5000 members.

The Role_

The main duties are

Recommend fine wines and beverages to Members and guests
Be knowledgeable about the different varieties of wines
Ensure wines are stored and served at the right temperature
To maintain appropriate levels of stock
Ensure all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed

The Person_

We are looking for someone who is:

Ideally have at least 2 years experience working as Wine Waiter/Waitress or Sommelier
Must have a WSET level 2 but preferably 3 or equivalent
Highly personable, passionate about delivering 5* service and thrives in a busy working environment where no two shifts are ever the same.
Passion for hospitality with a friendly disposition to smile
Reliable, professional and good team player
Excellent communication skills with good spoken and written English
