ssociate Geotechnical Consultant, based out of Manchester.

Responsibilities
***You will be a knowledgeable Geotechnical engineer with excellent interpretative reporting and geotechnical design skills, e.g. shallow foundations, piles, retaining walls. This is essential background for the role and as a result you will be given the opportunity to collaborate on a range of exciting projects.
- Design and management of ground investigations.
- Preparation of desk studies and interpretative reporting, problem solving, foundation design and slope stability assessments.
- Training and support of team members.
- Project management and working towards the sector business plans.
- Some line management expected.
- Developing relationships internally and externally to aid in the sector plans for growth, via client meetings, networking, or repeat business by delivering quality work.
Requirements:
***- (Essential) Degree in engineering geology, civil engineering or similar.
- (Essential) At or approaching chartered status (CEng/CGeol).
- (preferred) Post graduate degree MSc/Meng) in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, etc.
- 8 years+ of relevant postgraduate industry background.
- Working knowledge of relevant British Standards and familiarity of UK soils and rock.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and geotechnical software.
- An engaging team player this company prides itself on a highly collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Hold a clean UK driving Licence.
- Ability to Lead and develop a team.
- Confidence to liaise with internal and external clients.
