Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the UK's largest and most popular Universities. The Department of Recruitment and Admissions plays a key role in recruiting and admitting new students to the University.

As part of our student recruitment we annually communicate with over 100,000 enquirers and applicants through campaigns and manage in excess of 40,000 visitors to our campuses and online.

All our activities are designed to provide potential students with information, advice and guidance to help them make informed choices about going to university and Manchester Met.

About the role


As a Student Recruitment Officer (Outreach) you will play a key role in making sure that potential students receive the very best information, advice and guidance about higher education and studying at Manchester Metropolitan.

You will be responsible for independently planning, organising and delivering a programme of activities in key feeder schools and colleges regionally and nationally, as well as leading and supporting faculties in driving student recruitment activity on campus to meet student recruitment targets.

You will also have responsibility for reporting, communications and publications for a group of key stakeholders where you will be the account manager.

About you

  • You must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Be confident working with a wide range of key stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently for large periods of time you will have the skills to plan, prioritise and organise your workload as well as workloads for other staff
  • You must have experience of planning and delivering projects, events, communications planning and report writing
