About the role Balfour Beatty
have an exciting opportunity for a General Foreman
to join our Regional Civils
team based in Plymouth**.
Regional Civils undertake projects from
East coast to West Coast, from the south coast to the borders of Scotland.
From ground investigations and flood defence to complex roads and bridges; primary schools to world class universities; ground-breaking hospitals to city centre living; the depth of our experience and quality of our projects is something for us all to be proud of
As a
General Foreman you will manage the safe delivery of allocated worksites and projects to the required specification and quality standard; whilst achieving contract programme milestones, approved margin and cash forecasts.
What you'll be doing
Some other key areas will include:
- Inputting into the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments
- Providing suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions
- Identifying potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls
- Through observation and liaison with the workforce and subcontractors suggests improvement areas
- Ensuring plant is adequate for the task prior to being used
- Monitoring the performance of plant operators and appointed persons
Who we're looking for
You will have the following
- Experience within
Highways & Civils: - Relevant industry experience at management level
Holds a valid UK driving license and CSCS Card:
- Experience of monitoring key programme dates, e.g. TM switches, concrete pour dates etc.
