Our machines are manufactured at our facility in
Warmley, Bristol and are distributed worldwide, with our main markets being the UK, Europe, USA, China and Mexico.

Universal Balancing is a part of the Burke Porter Group with 40 worldwide locations and employing 1500+ people throughout the organisation.


The Position
We are looking for a Purchasing & Stock Co-ordinator to join our Purchasing team.

You will be responsible for running the Goods in/Stores area, issuing parts to production, and supporting the Purchasing team and wider business in all aspects of Purchasing.


As a Purchasing & Stock Co-ordinator, you will:

  • Unload goods with forklift and ensure products delivered are correct and to expected quality.
  • Manage the stores including stock taking ensuring the areas are clear and stock organised according to process.
  • Administer the process of booking goods in and out including loading and unloading.
  • Select, collate and issue stock for production.
  • Liaising with suppliers to chase updates on purchase orders.
  • Use our procurement system SAP.
  • Pack goods for shipment to associated list.
  • Maintaining consumable items stock level.
  • Clearing of return to stores shelf in timely manner.
  • Organising and maintaining outdoor loading area.

What we would like from you:

  • Experience working in procurement/buying in an industrial or engineering environment with knowledge of safe working practices.
  • Enthusiasm and positive 'cando' attitude.
  • Ability to plan and organise your own work.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in the use of SAP would be desirable however training will be provided.
  • Fork lift license desirable.
