Responsibilities

  • Designing roads, levels, drainage, and external works for both public (adoptable) and private realm schemes.
  • Contributing to projects from early planning through to detailed design and delivery.
  • Using your technical skills to support multiple projects, with guidance from senior colleagues when needed.
  • Collaborating with clients, planning authorities, and national bodies such as the Environment Agency.
  • Taking an active role in mentoring less experienced colleagues and representing BWB in technical discussions.

Qualifications

  • Civil engineering design experience, particularly in levels, drainage, and external works.
  • Skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or PDS with willingness to train on Civil 3D), MicroDrainage, and Microsoft Office.
  • An understanding of multi-disciplinary projects and the drive to broaden your knowledge across sectors.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences — from clients to colleagues.
  • Commercial awareness and the confidence to represent the team externally.
