Job Summary:

Duties:


  • Install and repair various types of fences, including wood, chainlink, vinyl, and metal
  • Measure and mark fence lines and layout post locations
  • Dig post holes using hand tools or power equipment
  • Set posts in concrete or other specified materials
  • Assemble fence sections and attach them to posts
  • Cut materials to size using power tools
  • Weld or fabricate custom fence components as needed
  • Plumb and level fence sections to ensure proper alignment
  • Paint or stain fences as required
  • Repair damaged fences by replacing broken or missing components
  • Collaborate with clients to determine their specific fencing needs

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Fencer or similar role
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Strong knowledge of various fencing materials and installation techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
  • Basic carpentry skills for fence construction
  • Familiarity with masonry work for fence foundations is a plus
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring for installing electric fences is an advantage

£8.23 per hour
