Description

Metalis are working with a company based on the
outskirts of Sheffield, they are a leader in their field and manufacture
thermal engineering products.

Their products are used in a variety of laboratories, plants and manufacturing sites worldwide.

They are currently going through a period of expansion and are looking to recruit a permanent mechanical fitter to join their team on a days regular basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is wanting to work within a busy fitting machine shop environment.

Duties:

Installation of bespoke hydraulic, pneumatic and gas systems.
Reading complex engineering drawings, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic piping schematics.
Able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Previous experience within a mechanical fitting role.
Good knowledge of machining processes and experience working on machine tools such as drilling, milling and turning would be an advantage.
Apprentice trained in a relevant engineering discipline.
Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
