Due to our outstanding continuing success, we are seeking a full time Deputy Team Leader for our specialist site in Rochester, Kent.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Deputy Team Leader to support our Team Leader structure.

You will be expected to manage up to 10 trained staff and answer their queries and manage staff administration and performance.

Eventually be a learned member of the managementteam - which will be fully supported by training.

You will have a keen eye for detail and observation skills to manage a hybrid office / operation working environment.

Keyholding support may be required. You will be a great team player and fully flexible inyour approach to an integrated team and working environment.

  • Ensure that staff always adhere to security and health and safety policies.
  • Ensure all audit processes are adhered to by all staff including management at all times
  • Suggest new process to improve efficiencies and audit process
  • Encourage open communication and maintain good working relationships with team and others in the business
  • Help with the training and development of the team and support individuals as necessary

Key Responsibilities:


Customer Service

  • Encourages and organises the team to make sure that the service given to the stores and external customers is of the highest standard

Centre Environment

  • Ensure that all colleagues are fully compliant with H&T working practices and the Health and Safety guidelines as detailed in the company policy
  • Supports centre management and undertakes operational requests
  • Act as a keyholder and regularly opens/closes centre as required

Financial management

  • Drives centre performance against key targets, so that the centre consistently achieves its goals.

Operational compliance

  • To ensure that all colleagues are working to the correct procedures and policies. Deals with any queries in a prompt and professional manner and escalates to the next level of management as required.
  • Complete all records accurately on a daily basis forwarding the relevant information to the Team Leader as required

Team management

  • Works with Team Leaders to make sure that each work pattern has the correct cover to ensure accuracy and completion of daily requirements.

Projects & initiatives

  • Assist in the implementation of projects and initiatives with the Team Leaders ensuring a smooth introduction of changes.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to coordinate activity and colleagues to deliver daily tasks and project implementation
  • Experience of using MS Office
  • Experience within a customer facing environment
  • Be collaborative and approachable to work across teams
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Evidence of effective planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
