Finance Assistant / £25,000 - £28,000 / Manchester Airport/ Health Sector
Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a high performing business within the health sector.

This position of Finance Assistant, reporting to the Financial Controller will take the leading role of our sales ledger function and support the wider financeteam with purchase invoice processing, ensuring they are successfully matched on the system promptly to enable payment.

Salary:
£25,000-£28,000


Main Duties:


  • Responsibility for actively engaging in the pursuit and recovery of debt
  • Maintain up to date customer data in Sage
  • Prepare sales invoices and circulate customer statements using Sage Invoicing suite.
  • Chasing customer debts and other credit control duties
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and provide copies of invoices/sales reports as required.
  • Monitor the Finance and Purchase Orders mailbox daily and respond to all sales ledger queries
  • Processing a high number of Invoices.
  • Dealing with queries regarding sales invoices
  • Prepare weekly debtors report with commentary for Financial Controllers review, providing updates on any overdue balances.
  • Dealing with and resolving all invoice queries with suppliers or the Orders team.
  • Answer any incoming calls, deal with any queries
  • Other ad hoc tasks

Person Specification:

  • Experience within a previous finance role, including credit control experience
  • A solid understanding of finance
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Sage Line 50, or similar finance system, experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Desirable
  • AAT or similar
  • Good telephone manner
  • Keen attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
