JOB OVERVIEW
Cardiff University International Study Centre (ISC) is a new and exciting development, which launched in September 2020.

You would be working in a culture of enhancing learning, teaching and assessment through a developmental approach, which for you will mean autonomy, innovation, and development opportunities.

As a Tutor in the Business, Law and Humanities department in the ISC, you will teach on modules on the level-3 International Foundation Year (IFY), level-4 International Year 1 (IY1) or level-6 Pre-Master's Programme (PMP) or a combination of both of these programmes.

The main law modules in the Centre are all level 4 and include contract law, public law, criminal law, legal foundations and a module on business law, which covers company law, equity and trusts and other areas of the law relevant to businesses in the UK.

At level 3, we have an introductory course, which includes topics such as jurisprudence, public law and land law and conveyancing.

The ability to teach one or more of the following would be very advantageous:

The Centre also has a range of humanities, social sciences and business modules that you may be requested to deliver when appropriate.

You will play a key role in the operations of the law team by contributing to teaching classes and the development of teaching materials and assessments.

You will empower students to reach the level they need to in order to progress into university by providing student-centred, engaging, and innovative learning.

You'll also undertake marking and feedback on formative and summative assessments.
