St Ann's Hospice believes that everyone is entitled to the highest possible standard of living.They offer specialised palliative care to adults suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses at all phases of their condition while seeking to satisfy their unique medical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and helping maintain their dignity.
They also offer incredible support to families, carers, and friends as they recognise the difficult time this can be for so many.

As all their services are entirely free of charge to patients and their loved ones, the hospice is largely dependent on fundraised income, therefore, we are delighted to be searching for a creative and innovative individual to join the vibrant and dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice and raise funds to support hundreds of patients and families every year.
The Role
As Community Fundraiser you will be responsible for developing fundraising initiatives in aid of the Hospice by proactively engaging with community groups, schools, individuals and volunteers
Duties will include:
- Providing excellent stewardship to supporters and managing a network of fundraising volunteers
- Arranging a wide variety of collections in the community and organising annual events to engage with local groups and volunteers to raise income
- Managing and leading key community partnerships, such as the Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme
- Delivering presentations about the hospice's work to promote activities to target groups and individuals
- Working alongside the Fundraising Manager to achieve the income budget
The Person
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate person with excellent communication skills, who is experienced in building effective relationships.
Ideally you will have proven experience of working closely with volunteers and in developing relationships with local businesses, however we are also keen to speak with people keen to develop skills in these areas.
You must be able to communicate confidently and professionally with individuals of varying levels of seniority and be both creative and flexible with a collaborative approach to working.
