The role:
We are looking for a Values & Ethics Executive to support the delivery of the Bank's Values, Ethics and Sustainability Strategy and implementation and governance of our unique customer-led Ethical Policy.
Within this role you will provide support across the Sustainability Team on all environmental, social and governance programmes of work whilst taking the lead on the Bank's ambitious colleague volunteering programme and playing a key part in delivering our CSR and campaigning activities.
The Values & Ethics Executive will provide administrative support across the Values, Ethics and Sustainability team, including activities related to the embedding, governance, measurement, reporting and management of initiatives that support the Bank's pioneering ESG agenda.

What will this role involve?
- Drive the bank's Values, Ethics and Sustainability strategy, aligning activities to the Bank's strategic aims, delivering commercial objectives, driving productivity and managing risk.
- Delivery of CSR programmes to drive positive social and environmental change.
- Lead and project manage the Bank's Net Zero strategy.
- Lead on the relationship with key ESG ratings agencies and coordinate rescoring projects
- Support the delivery of ESG products and services across the organisation.
- Engage confidently with key internal and external business stakeholders to engage, galvanise and deliver our values, ethics and sustainability objectives
You will need:
- Passion for a career driving positive social and environmental change essential.
- Passion for the Bank's values, ethics and sustainability agenda essential.
- Previous experience working in a CSR, sustainability, ESG role or purpose driven organisation desired.
- Experience of working in the financial services industry desired.
- Communications/PR experience would be desirable but not essential.
- Experience of managing data and analytics regarding key corporate ESG reporting metrics
- Experience of minute taking, writing agendas, secretariat support of executive committees desirable.
- Monitoring regulatory developments and keeping up to date on trends, changes and competitor reviews within the ESG space
- ESG experience and understanding across some of:
- Reporting of scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions / Net Zero target setting and delivery
- Green products / sustainable finance
- Wider environmental / sustainability activities / policy
- Social factors / ED&I
- Human Rights / Modern Slavery
- Supply chain / Circular economy
- ESG Regulation inc. TCFD / SFDR
- Experience of working with budgets and financial processes
- Willingness to develop and learn in an ever changing sustainability landscape
Technical capabilities:
- Demonstrates business, commercial and operational understanding
- Good personal communications skills
- Good organisational, administrative and project planning skills
- Confident with Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to translate issues and information into clear messages for stakeholders
- Ability to work as part of a flexible, multifunctional and fastmoving team
- Emotional intelligence (persuasion, empathy, diplomacy)
- The ability to identify, build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external contacts.
