We are currently working with a public sector organization to support them with some temporary recruitment needs within their HR Team.

They are looking for a Senior HR Advisor for an initial period of 3 months. The role would encompass some of the duties below and would be an exciting and varied role.

You will be a strong and experienced HR generalist with experience of line managing advisors.

  • Provide advice and support on a variety of HR solutions which support delivery of the organisation's overall objectives and ensures the workforce is managed in the most productive way possible.
  • Work closely with senior management and leadership teams across the services supported to identify the HR implications of any proposed strategies and business plans at the earliest possible stage.
  • Take a proactive approach in terms of looking ahead, horizon scanning and keeping aware of best practice and benchmark data in relation to HR issues to support effective business planning and prioritisation activities.
  • Proactively gather and present relevant HR data to group management teams and leadership teams to inform decisionmaking and identification of priorities and enable effective workforce planning.
  • Be familiar with and understand the Workforce Strategy and Plan and other relevant HR related strategies and plans to help shape and implement initiatives which arise from them.
  • Provide support and advice to services and related organisations as required on all relevant HR issues including workforce planning, service reviews, terms and conditions, equality and diversity, job evaluation, employee engagement, attendance at work, work life balance and performance management in accordance with best practice, legislation and regulation.
  • Provide support, guidance and advice to services and schools on the interpretation and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure they are applied in an effective, fair, and consistent manner.
  • Take responsibility for the work allocation, supervision and development of HR Advisers as assigned to ensure the provision of an efficient, highquality service.
  • Maintain appropriate systems within the service to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Respond cooperatively with reasonable requests to undertake other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

Hourly Salary - £ £24.60 p/hour (depending on experience)

Hybrid Working - Gateshead
