Reed Finance is working with one of the world's largest global wholesalers.

They are looking for a
qualified Finance Manager that for a
fixed term of 12 months, with an opportunity to go permanent.


Purpose of the role:


Managing a team of three you will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the accounts department reporting directly to the Financial Operations Manager and working closely with the Finance Director.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the month end process for the UK subsidiaries including the preparation of accurate, relevant and timely monthly management accounts
  • Challenge all cost lines and explain any variances from budget in the monthly management accounts
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance of the nominal accounts and fixed asset registers
  • Complete all bank reconciliations for the UK subsidiaries on a monthly basis
  • Manage all expenses, credit card and petty cash claims including inputting onto the accounting system and subsequent payment
  • Assist in the statutory audit process and delivery of the Annual Report
  • Manage all companies house and national statistics submissions
  • Assist the credit control and accounts payable functions in the resolution of any queries on a timely basis
  • Prepare and submit the quarterly vat returns and manage any inspections by HMRC as they arise
  • Prepare and distribute the P11Ds across the business and manage the submission to HMRC and payment of any Class 1A national insurance
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual profit & loss and capital expenditure budgets for approval by the board

IT Skills:


  • Good knowledge of Microsoft systems; Excel, Word and Outlook in particular
  • Highly proficient in SAP or similar accounting systems.
