We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Business Change Officer to join East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Corporate Business Change team in a part-time role.


The role involves engaging directly with senior management teams across the organisation, providing business change consultancy and managing the delivery of a number of projects, working with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure work is delivered to schedule and against the overarching strategic objectives of the Council.


You would be joining a well respected team within the Council, which has a track record of developing staff to enable them to further their careers.


We are looking for someone who is highly organised, creative and has experience of successful delivery of transformation and change work.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing complex business change projects, typically implementing business solutions to enhance service delivery, reduce costs and/or generate income
  • Creating and maintaining project plans for business change projects that communicate tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation
  • Engaging with stakeholders in appropriate and effective ways to ensure business buy in and successful outcomes
  • Line Management of staff

To be considered for the role, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced project management environment
  • Outstanding engagement skills and an excellent communicator
  • Ability to spot opportunities for improvement in process, systems and technology
  • Strong problemsolving and negotiation skills
