We are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Higher level Teaching Assistants to work within a large Secondary school in central Cardiff.
The school is a busy Secondary within the Cardiff LEA and provides an engaging and creative learning environment for all learners.
The schools support learners across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and as a result, we are now looking for Teaching Assistants to take the next step in their education career to work as
Higher level Teaching assistants and Cover supervisors.
Overview:

- Cover supervisors
Pay: £85 to £100 per day-
Location: Cardiff

Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term
- Monday to Friday 830am 330pm

The role:
What you'll be doing
- Leading a classroom of KS3 and 4 learners in the absence of the teacher Deliver preset work to the classroom
- Setting the classroom for lessons
- Supporting and supervising activities within the classroom
- Helping learners stay on task and understand lessons
- Work in partnership with other members of staff
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
- Assist learners at break time with their lunch where needed
- Engage learners in the classroom and out of classroom activities Work in accordance to the schools behaviour management policies
- At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) we can help you with this
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
Job Types:

Part-time hours: 20-32 per week
