We are proud to be working with one of the south's most well respected motor groups. Our client is currently on the lookout for a Service Advisor to join their Portsmouth site.

The ideal person will be an experienced automotive professional with strong main dealer experience. As well as a competitive salary, this role comes with excellent progression prospects and a generous bonus scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers, introducing and explaining the range of services our car dealership offers.
  • Actively listen to customers, accurately document their car problems, and effectively relay this information to our skilled mechanics.
  • Collaborate with mechanics to discuss repairs, exploring alternatives to minimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding service outcomes, providing clear explanations based on consultations with mechanics, when necessary.
  • Facilitate seamless communication between customers and mechanics to schedule car checkups and service appointments, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Offer knowledgeable advice to customers regarding warranty protections and potential cost savings, demonstrating our commitment to their satisfaction.
  • Provide estimates for car repair costs and communicate the expected time required to complete the repairs, managing customer expectations effectively.
  • Assist customers in making informed decisions between partexchanging their car and utilizing our workshop for repairs.
  • Proactively engage in marketing initiatives to attract new customers and promote the services offered by our car dealership.
  • Verify insurance coverage for vehicles brought to the dealership, ensuring compliance with necessary requirements.
  • Conduct test drives of repaired cars to confirm that the repairs have been completed correctly, ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Address any possible customer complaints promptly and professionally, aiming to resolve issues to their satisfaction after repair services are offered.

Requirements:


  • Experience as an automotive service advisor
  • Experience in a main dealership (preferred)
  • Strong customer facing background
  • Upselling abilities

  • Driving Licence (required)
