Salary:
£50,000 - £60,000 dependent on skills and experience


Who are we looking for?


We have a new opening for a
Head of Web Optimisation to join
CEG Digital, part of the larger
Cambridge Education Group.


The role is on a
full-time,
permanent basis and it can be based in our Cambridge or Newcastle office (United Kingdom).


The new Head of Web Optimisation role has been created to enhance our capabilities, advance our CX focussed student engagement strategy and drive organic growth.

The role will work within the Content and Communications team and directly line manage the WebsiteCoordinator whilst working very closely with the wider team.


With a growing number of microsites to manage on behalf of our partner Universities this role will further shape and improve their standard, analytics and performance whilst giving the users the best experience possible.

The Head of Web Optimisation willholistically optimise customer experience of our online programme websites to iteratively improve conversion and customer satisfaction.


Key responsibilities:


  • Design our UX strategy and manage the implementation of optimisations
  • Take a test and learn approach to web and content optimisation
  • Own and implement new CRO plan
  • Own and implement SEO plan
  • Oversee design and content optimisation to meet UX and SEO targets
  • Responsible for line management of a small team

Key Person specification:


  • BA/BSc or equivalent working experience in Digital Marketing (SEO/ UX)
  • Experience in leading and implementing website optimisation strategy
  • Understanding of UX design, usability and CRO; Understanding of onpage and technical SEO
  • Experience of recruiting and managing direct reports
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite including Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Working knowledge of UX and CRO tools including Hotjar and Google Optimize
