Based:
Ongar, Essex

Hours: 35 hours per week


Salary:
£30,000 - £32,500 (Full time)

PSS are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Payroll Administrator at their Head Office in Ongar, Essex.

Responsibilities for senior payroll administrator

  • Supervise a team of Payroll Administrators/Office administrators, reviewing the peers work with accuracy and in a timely matter, to ensure the delivery of highquality services levels to our employees/clients.
  • Work as part of the team to complete Fortnightly payroll for 1100 employees, accurately and on time.
  • AE reporting and transmissions to Pension provider, RTI transmissions.
  • Assists with the development of simple to complex HR reports using data from multiple HR data sources
  • Qualifications for senior payroll administrator
  • Provide data and administrative support as needed to support workflow with other HR functional areas
  • Support HR and other departmental initiatives as appropriate
  • Helps ensure data integrity by monitoring the data for accuracy, consistency, and validity


The role requires good attention to detail as you will be responsible for setting up and screening new starters and processing leavers while ensuring all the compliance requirements are met.


Key skills, experience and attributes:


  • Minimum of three (3) years of directly related payroll experience
  • Posses the ability to relate and communicate at all levels with professionalism.
  • Ability to perform manual calculations, NI, SSP, SMP, Student loans, deduction orders, tax code analysis.
  • Ability to effectively handle a large volume of work and cope successfully under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Basic Understanding/ knowledge of UK employment and Health & Safety, HR legislation Confidential filing and record keeping.
  • Ability to research and solve problems related to payroll
  • Oversee recovery of overpayments,
  • General office administration duties, filing of correspondence etc.; recording and despatching all outgoing mail; recording all incoming mail; answering telephone and passing on messages
  • Responsible for ensuring all, personnel files, reports, any other forms are filed accurately on weekly basis.


PSS are looking for a team player, who can also work independently, with an ability to quickly understand how using IT will improve and develop payroll and HR systems.
