Description

Due to the recent growth of the business a new role for an IT Support Engineer has opened, to assist our current customers and prepare for the future.

**IT Helpdesk / Technical Support Engineer
Warrington, WA1**
£25,000 - £32,000

Full Time, Permanent

About the role
Typically, the role will manage the technical support issues working alongside the Technical Manager and Service Desk.

Some of the duties will include (but not exhaustive):

  • Report and track faults via a ticketing system
  • Internal IT infrastructure support for office and remote users
  • Provide remote support for customers, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Provide weekly reports to key customers as requested
  • Deployment of content onto customer networks
  • Pre configuration of equipment prior to going to a customer site
  • Ensure that customers are always kept up to date
  • Provide presales technical support

The standard hours are 37.5 Hours on a rota 8:00 - 16:30 and 09:00-17:30

You will be a member of the on-call team providing technical support at evenings and weekends with an additional payment

What you'll need


You must be proactive, self-motivated, hands on, have a can-do attitude and have a willingness to learn and get involved.

Previous IT Helpdesk experience of working with both customers and engineers on site would be valuable, with high levels of customer service and an ability to positively deal with high-pressure situations when they occur


Essential technical skills required

  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Networking and Network security
  • DHCP, DNS, VLANS, Wi-Fi
  • PC diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365/Teams/SharePoint/Linux


  • MDM

  • Samsung Knox and Microsoft Intune
  • LED Screens, LED Control systems (Novastar) and AV knowledge preferred
  • Teams and VC knowledge an advantage
  • Sage/HTML5/PHP/mySQL is an advantage
