JCL Group have an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Team at in Portsmouth Infirmary as a Cleaner to support the team in delivering a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff in our hub facility, office and other properties.

The role will start as an 8 hour per week vacancy, with properties gradually added up to an estimated 30 hour per week vacancy.

Working hours are Monday to Friday. Hours of work will be with the potential for flexible working within these hours.

We offer a competitive salary, at a pay rate of £10.50 per hour.

Responsible for identifying areas to be cleaned, plan and organise a cleaning programme with relevant hub, office or properties staff, ensuring Resident, Staff and Visitor safety is not compromised.

Operating cleaning equipment, machinery in accordance with manufacturer's instruction ensuring that it is in a good clean working order, reporting faults immediately to supervisor.

Undertake scheduled deep clean/isolation cleans following local guidelines.

Carry out spot cleaning (when on site) to ensure spillages and incidents are dealt with swiftly and efficiently, supported by staff as appropriate.

To adhere to all relevant COSHH assessments and Safety Data sheets when preparing, using and disposing of cleaning chemicals.
