Description

Acorn is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor & Trainee for their client based near Berkeley.

The salary for this position is £23,000 to £33,000 per annum, and includes use of the company car.

As a Legionella Risk Assessor you will be carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8, providing recommendations to clients, and producing reports and documents.

You will be conducting assessments at a broad range of client sites around your region and further afield, dependent on business needs.

Key responsibilities:

Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 on a wide range of properties including industrial and commercial
Compiling schematic drawings and producing final documents for clients
Providing recommendations for remedial works and routine control measures based on the risk assessments
Monthly temperature testing, monitoring and water sampling
Surveying of water systems and supplies
Attending meetings with clients as and when required
Maintain a professional working relationship with clients
Produce accurate reports and drawings within the time frame given
Following company procedure regarding health, safety and compliance

Essential skills and qualifications:

Extensive experience in Legionella risk assessing
Legionella risk assessment qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalent
Practical Legionella risk assessment
Hot and Cold-Water Systems
Wide knowledge of the approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG27
Full UK driving license
Experience of using technical drawing software i.e AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio or equivalent
Experienced in using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams etc.)
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Attention to detail
Experienced in working independently when needed
Delivering to deadlines
Flexibility
