This post will support the Senior Faculty Manager to ensure the effective running of the Faculty, specifically providing high-level administration to the portfolio of H&CRW personal awards schemes and delivery of the national training programme to Faculty members.

This post is a Health & Care Research Wales post, hosted by Powys THB.

The post holder will be able to work from home and will also have a base in one of the Cardiff, Brecon or Bangor offices (confirmed on recruitment).


Support the Senior Faculty Manager to ensure the effective running of the Faculty, specifically providing high-level administration to the portfolio of H&CRW portfolio of personal awards schemes and delivery of the national training programme to Faculty members.


Assist the Programme Officer and Senior Faculty Manager in managing schemes and programmes that form part of the Faculty training and personal awards portfolio.

Support the Programme Officer and Senior Faculty Manager in their role of having oversight of the various personal awards schemes.


Work alongside other Faculty Admin Team members and the H&CRW Training team to ensure the delivery of the various personal awards schemes, programmes, workshops, and conferences.


Be involved in other diverse areas of work that support the wider Research Career Pathways programme of work in Wales.

Build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and the Health and Care Research Wales research community.

They will also facilitate user groups as relevant and provide expert guidance and advice on personal awards and training needs and provision.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
