Speech and Language Therapist

  • Pay Grade: Grade G
  • J £29,269 £43,421 prorata
  • Actual Salary c. £24,796 £36,78
  • Term time only plus two additional weeks (41 weeks per year)
  • 35 hours per week hours pattern to be agreed
  • Permanent
Required for January 2025 for two brand new Speech and Language Resource Bases which open in January 2025.

Due to the opening of two new Speech and Language Specialist Resourced Base Provision at Canford Heath Infant and Junior School, the MAT Trustees are looking to appoint a qualified Speech and Language Therapist who is dedicated, compassionate, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our children.

The Resourced Base Provision will cater for children of primary age (4-11), initially accommodating a maximum of 15 children across the two bases, with anticipated growth up to a maximum of 35 children over the next three years.


We are looking for someone with:

  • A passion for making communication accessible for the individual learner.
  • A childcentred practitioner who responds to the individual needs of each child.
  • A Speech and Language Therapist with good knowledge and understanding of a range of speech, language and communication needs, including social communication needs and appropriate communication strategies to support pupils with this need.
  • A creative and flexible therapeutic approach that builds success through challenge, personalisation and innovation.
  • The confidence and skills to build positive relationships that help to break down barriers and build selfesteem.
  • A commitment to enabling all our pupils to overcome their challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Applications from experienced and newly qualified therapists will all be considered.
