_JOB PURPOSE:
_

_Sole Technical Author with Didsbury Engineering required to produce, maintain and update technical publications including operation and maintenance manuals using data gathered from a wide range of sources internal and external to the business.

_

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
_

Create and edit operating instructions, maintenance procedures and schedules, illustrated parts data, spares lists and marketing leaflets
Generate high quality illustrations from existing 3D CAD data
Create and edit other illustrations and diagrams
Proof read documents prior to publication to ensure they meet business expectations
Collate and verify information about a product from multiple sources
Use a document management system to control revision levels

_ESSENTIAL PERSONAL SKILLS /

ATTRIBUTES:
_

Degree qualified in an engineering or scientific discipline or can demonstrate equivalent experience
Has technical writing experience within an engineering discipline, with the ability to communicate complex and technical information clearly and concisely
Has an excellent standard of written and verbal English
Working knowledge of ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English
High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload based on changing demands
Computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Word, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Creative Cloud and SolidWorks Composer (or similar)
Ability to motivate self and work alone or as part of a team
