OVERALL SUMMARY


Join the Close Brothers Risk team where you will lead the delivery and on-going evolution of the group's risk governance framework across all risk types and divisions, as well as specific management and improvement of the firm's model risk governance framework.


Working as part of the Risk team, our ideal team member will have previous reporting experience with excellent analytical skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and lead the evolution of the Risk Committee Framework and the CBG Risk and Compliance Committee (RCC) Governance and Content Standards
  • Support the Head of Risk Operations and Governance in providing oversight and direction to employees in accordance with the firm's policies, procedures, standards and SLAs
  • Evolve the preparation, consolidation and aggregation of risk MI to all Risk committees, and advance reporting to executive and nonexecutive risk committees and the CBG/CBL Board
  • Coordinate, prepare and oversee pack development for the Group Risk and Compliance Committee and other CBGlevel executive risk committees. Act as secretariat for Group Risk and Compliance Committee
  • Act as an advisor and the central point of contact across the Group for all Risk policies and standards
  • Work with the Model Risk Management Team to ensure appropriate end to end governance controls are embedded for each model
  • Oversee the compilation of model risk reporting packs from the centralised inventory database on a regular basis and investigate any notable observations arising in the reports

You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.


WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

  • You have reporting experience, including an ability to condense information, develop reports and presentations and produce ad-hoc analyses sufficient to optimise delivery to senior management and the board
  • You have practical experience in the running of a management / executivelevel committee and broader risk governance processes
  • You have experience in the development of Risk policies, standards or procedures
  • You have proven experience of delivering risk governance in one of the following areas: Enterprise / Group Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Asset & Liability Management, Traded Market Risk
  • You have excellent organisational skills with an ability to coordinate inputs from a wide array of stakeholders in a timely and effective manner

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

  • Hold an industry certification (e.g. FRM, CFA)
