The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is seeking a motivated and experienced Head Chef to lead our team at Solihull Retirement Village, located in Shirley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of older people.

We are looking for a professional with experience in managing catering and hospitality services, preferably in a similar setting. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to inspire and motivate a team, and have empathy for residents' needs and dietary requirements.

• Responsibilities:
• Work with the Lifestyle Manager to develop and implement strategies for exceptional customer service, financial performance, and service quality.
• Be responsible for the delivery and management of food and beverage services across the village, including bars and events.
• Collaborate with the Village Manager to create a comprehensive hospitality strategy that contributes to the village income goals.
• Recruit and manage a skilled and motivated hospitality team.
• Work closely with other village teams, such as Care, Wellbeing, and Dementia Support, to provide support to residents with specific dietary needs.
• Promote cost-effective procurement and stock management practices.
• Engage with residents on menu planning, pricing, and service provision.
• Monitor customer feedback and address any complaints or comments proactively.
• Ensure a safe and compliant service in accordance with health and safety, food handling, and hygiene regulations.
