We have an exciting opportunity available for a Finance and Accounting Manager to join our Head Office team.


The Finance and Accounting Manager will effectively manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger teams and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.

Manage process improvements and drive home efficiencies.
Ensure theaccurate and timely submission of all statutory reporting and adherence to statutory requirements.
Ensure all Group reporting/forecasting requirements relating to balance sheet and cashflow items are fulfilled.


Responsibilities

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure VAT returns are submitted in accordance with tax authorities' requirements and submission/payment deadlines.
  • Manage and coordinate the statutory yearend audits of the UK and Irish entities.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for the Auditor's review and ensure they are promptly filed.
  • Liaise with tax consultants, providing information required for completion of Corporation Tax returns. Manage the Corporation Tax payments on account.
  • Ensure that PSA submissions are prepared and filed in line with the relevant requirements and deadlines.
  • Work with the LVMH tax department to update relevant transfer pricing documentation.
  • Manage the annual insurance renewal process and ensure that ongoing business insurance requirements are met.

Group Reporting

  • Ensure the balance sheet, cash flow and supporting schedules are reported via the group reporting package on a quarterly basis. Provide commentary on cash flow variances verses prior year and budget.
  • Complete quarterly group tax packages, detailing tax computations and tax proofs.
  • Oversee the monthly reporting of cash balances and flows analysis via the group reporting tool.
  • Ensure quarterly and CAPEX is reported in accordance with group guidelines.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Prepare, review and submit Balance Sheet and Cash flow forecasts as part of the annual budgeting process.
  • Forecast Tax charges and balances based on the budgeted P&L, and complete associated group tax packages.
  • Ensure budgeted CAPEX is accurately consolidated and associated depreciation charges forecast.

Month end

  • Prepare monthly corporation and deferred tax calculations for inclusion within group reporting.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Leasa IFRS16 platform and validate monthly lease journals.
  • Review month end journals prepared by the general ledger team and approved for posting.
  • Review bank reconciliations prepared by the general ledger team.
  • Ensure the Fixed Asset register is accurately maintained.
  • See that balance sheet reconciliations are consolidated for all ledger accounts and perform a thorough monthly review.

Process Management and Staff Development

  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve processes and efficiencies in all accounting areas.
  • Lead, coach and train the Accounts Payable Coordinator, Accounts Receivable Coordinator, and General Ledger Coordinator to ensure their professional development, providing the support and motivation to cultivate an efficient and happy team.

Internal Control

  • Assist the accounting team to design, develop, document, and implement internal controls within all accounting areas as required by the Internal Controls Manager.
  • Monitor implemented controls through ongoing documented reviews.

Reporting to the Finance Director

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in implementing process improvements.
  • Good knowledge of corporation tax calculations and principles.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS16 accounting.
  • Proven success in managing external auditors and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Previous experience of VAT and PSA calculations and submissions.

Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).


  • Excel

  • Advanced Level.
  • Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail and drive for results.
