Are you ready to take on a broad range of responsibilities including ownership of the month end management accounts?


Think Accountancy and Finance met with a dynamic FD earlier today to discuss the opportunity for a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

The role is based in the Soho area and will offer hybrid working.


The Finance Director is looking for a dynamic individual who wants to join his team and help shape his vision of the team as the business grows.


This role would be ideal for someone who qualified in a medium size practice and has a couple of years industry experience in a high growth or PE Backed business.


  • Managing the monthend process and producing monthly management accounts
  • Providing detailed commentary where necessary.
  • Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts (i.e. Prepayments, Accruals, Intercompany balances etc) together with the preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset registers.
  • Processing of monthly journals and reconciliation of costs as and when required.
  • Supporting and overseeing the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Overseeing of weekly payment runs to suppliers.
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Business Partnering
  • Assisting with the annual statutory audit.
  • Supporting the Finance Controller with adhoc tasks.

Desirable experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 2+ years PQE.
  • Genuine interest in and understanding of startups/scaleups, preferably with prior experience.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and ambitious individual who thrives in a challenging role and not afraid to get stuck in.
  • Have a curious mindset, able to take a step back and ask the right questions.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and develop relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with experience and knowledge of IFRS.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Love working in a fastpaced environment, and able to embrace change. The business moves quickly so you will need to be able to keep up
