Description
We are excited to announce several Apprenticeship opportunities to join us at the Port of Tilbury as a Warehouse Operative within our Bulks Asset.
Within this two-year programme, you will be part of our busy Grain & Bulks operation where you will learn the day to day warehouse operations whilst working towards a professional qualification.
This asset in the port covers an area of 18 acres, which includes 6 operational berths, outdoor, and undercover storage facilities & utilises a fleet of various types of mobile handing equipment (MHE) and Cranes.
By the end of the programme, you will emerge as a fully-fledged warehouse operator, ready to launch your career in this dynamic industry

About The Role
What you will learn:
As a warehouse apprentice, you will gain a thorough understanding of the day to day warehouse operations and receive high quality training on a range of mechanical plant equipment and machinery.
You'll gain insights into different aspects of the asset, and will develop a deep understanding of health and safety policies and procedures.
By the end of the programme, you'll emerge as a fully trained port operative ready to excel in your career.

What are we looking for?
- Applicants can either come with grade C (level 4 or above in English and Maths ) OR will need to achieve a level 2 functional skills qualification in both as part of the apprenticeship programme.
- Individuals who are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the work that we do at the port, and are looking to develop a strong foundation to your career
- Comfortable working both at height and within small spaces at times
- We do require all individuals who work at our port to be a minimum 18 years of age (by Aug 2024)
- Full UK working rights
- UK driving licence preferred
