Job description:

Our client, based in Surrey
, is currently recruiting for a Reward and Benefit Advisor on a permanent contract. Our client is proud to provide world class research within the higher education sector.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is £38,567 per annum.


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • To provide advice and administrative HR support along with helping manage the processes under its remit including academic promotion, professorial banding, sabbatical leave, academic probation, honorary appointments their regular life activities and sustain their support networks
  • Working closely with the Deputy Head of HR Operations to undertake job evaluation and to provide advice and administrative support to the organisations job evaluation scheme
  • To provide advice and administrative HR to the organisations performance and recognition awards ensuring these are managed in a timely and professional manner
  • Working with the Deputy Head of HR Operations to provide advice and administrative HR support on market supplement issues undertaking research such as benchmarking as applicable
  • To administer the organisations nursery provision and salary sacrifice scheme
  • Administer the organisations cycle to work scheme along with all other staff benefits
  • Working with the Deputy Head of HR Operations to ensure that the organisations Reward policies and processes meet statutory and good practice requirements
  • To use a range of IT systems to ensure the delivery of a timely and effective service
  • Working with HR colleagues to produce a range of data and input into the production of reward related equality data and gender pay gap reporting requirements

Experience required:


  • Significant demonstrable experience of successfully working in a full HR function providing advice and administrative support
  • Experience of successfully designing and writing HR processes and policies

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:


  • Ability to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent communication and management skills
