Once Britain's Best-Kept Secret, Bletchley Park, a unique heritage site and vibrant tourist attraction and is now seeking a Weekend Customer Services Supervisor based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes to join its expanding Visitor Services team.

Bletchley Park Trust's Mission is to highlight the codebreaking achievements of Bletchley Park in World War Two, its role as a birthplace of computing, and its importance and relevance today.


As a Visitor Services Supervisor your duties will be to:

  • Lead, monitor, support and motivate the Visitor Services Team in providing the highest possible visitor service experience for everyone visiting Bletchley Park.
  • Carry out staff appraisals, one to ones and training of the Visitor Services team.
  • Ensure that the service provided, and site and facilities meet the standards expected of a national heritage site.
  • Demonstrate you are reliable, confident, be able to selfmotivate and work under your own initiative, whilst remaining calm under pressure.

We are looking for a Visitor Services Supervisor with:

  • Experience working in a retail outlet, including customer service interaction.
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team.
  • The ability to work under pressure with a smile.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to assist others.
  • A handson approach and a willingness to lead by example.
  • Selfmotivated skills and the ability to work under own initiative.
  • IT literacy skills, numerate and a logical approach to work.
  • Good written skills.
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • High level of consideration to others and reliability.
  • A knowledge of and interest in the Bletchley Park story and a willingness to promote the Trust's mission.

The following skills are desirable, but not essential as full training will be given:

  • Experience in a heritage / a tourist attraction or retail outlet or similar, including customer service interaction
  • Experience working with computerised ticketing systems.
  • Experience creating staffing rotas.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
This role is public facing, uniform will be provided, and a smart appearance will be required at all times.
This is a part-time position, working weekends (both Saturday and Sunday). Normal hours of work will be / on a rolling basis. Overtime may be required to cover the needs of the business. The internal job title for this position isVisitor Services Supervisor.

In return, the Visitor Services Supervisor will receive a salary of £8,400.00 per annum (based on £21,000 FTE) depending on experience, along with a company pension scheme, access to a BUPA healthcare cash plan and 33 days holiday per annum (pro rata), includingstatutory holidays.
