    We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to provide professional health and safety advice in compliance with company standards and procedures.

    This hybrid role offers a balance of regular in-office collaboration with remote work, encouraging flexibility while enabling you to work closely with our diverse team.

    Brief Description

    To provide professional health and safety advice and support to teams, coordinate the relevant business activities, and facilitate compliance with the Network Rail (High Speed) Health and Safety Management System and all relevant legal, industry, and company standards.

    About the Role

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    1. Providing functional support, guidance, and professional expertise to the teams on all health and safety matters to deliver successful execution of the programme or works.
    2. Working directly with the teams providing health and safety direction by leading the HSEA specialist aligned to the team (where applicable).
    3. Providing support to the teams on inspection and monitoring of the safety and environmental performance of projects.
    4. Working with teams to determine practical and deliverable measures to improve health & safety performance.
    5. Supporting teams in the investigation of accidents and incidents and in the implementation of resulting recommendations.
    6. Providing the single point of contact with HMRI and other health and safety organisations for day-to-day site health and safety.
    7. Coordinating the health & safety activities of the programme and maintaining effective liaison with other Regions, Programmes, and Major Projects.

    Essential Qualifications and Experience

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • A NEBOSH Construction certificate
    • A NEBOSH Tech SP certificate
    • Significant experience in the successful management of HSEA issues on major programmes of work in the construction and/or rail industries
    • A Project Safety Management course
    • A NEBOSH diploma
    • An IEMA certificate
    • Experience as a Health and Safety or Environment practitioner
    • Knowledge of Network Rail's systems and processes
    • A working knowledge of rules, regulations, and standards applicable to contractor safety

    Estimated Salary

    $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
