The Transport Team Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily transport operations, managing drivers and compliance in a busy 3PL operation.

This role is Monday to Friday on days.

My client are an industry leading 3PL business, known for offering training and development, with over 200 sites and over 20,000 employees.


Description
The key responsibilities for the role of Transport Team Manager in Runcorn will be:

  • Overseeing daily operations in a busy retail distribution contract.
  • Managing drivers and their hours against WTD.
  • Ensuring the operation and its fleet of class 1 vehicles are complaint with transport regulations.
  • Monitoring key transport related KPIs.
  • Ensuring the operation stays inline with SLAs.

Profile

  • Experience in transport, ideally in a management/supervisory position.
  • Good knowledge of transport regulations and drivers hours against WTD.
  • Great people management skills.
  • A CPC is desirable but not essential.
  • A driven personality with great organisation skills.
  • Experience within a 3PL is desirable.

Job Offer

  • A salary of up to £32,000 p/a.
