The Economic Development and Growth Team is a multi-disciplinary Team that works together to provide a strong economic development focus for the District.


The role of Business Intelligence Officer is a key role in the team providing team members with the information they require to support businesses in the District.

The post holder will lead and support on the delivery of a new Customer Relationship Management procedure and tool.

Liaising with cross-council teams to ensure business intelligence is up to date and from this information produce a number of data-driven intelligence documents as directed by the Service Manager.


The post holder will also be responsible for Inward and Indigenous Investment, utilising the business intelligence to target appropriate businesses and to develop a new procedure for inward and indigenous investment enquiries.


To be successful you will need:

  • Have a good knowledge of Customer Relationship Tools and their use
  • Have an understanding of Economic Development
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience of working in a team with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Good project management skills
