Quality Assurance Officer - London, United Kingdom - Yoke for Blackwater Recruitment
Description
Our client is one of the UK's leading field sales networks and has been in business for almost 40 years.
They are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day quality assurance and compliance functions of the company to ensure it, and its suppliers, are operating to all applicable legal and regulatory standards.
You will work closely with other departments and suppliers to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach is taken by the business to achieve excellent standards of quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine risk assessments to help company stakeholders and suppliers understand compliance risk, scope, and significance.
- Monitoring the company's (and supplier network) internal policies and practices to ensure they are complaint with current applicable law, regulations, and relevant industry codes of practice.
- Regularly assess supplier quality systems and processes, ensuring they meet our company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting due diligence checks on potential new suppliers.
- Conducting internal company audits, and external audits on suppliers against applicable laws, regulations, and any applicable industry code of practice requirements
- Keeping up to date with all applicable and regulatory requirements and be able to communicate complex information in a clear and precise way, both orally and in writing
- Recording all findings properly and following up with management and other stakeholders to ensure any issues are rectified.
- Systematically collect, analyse, and report on qualityrelated data related suppliers to identify trends of noncompliance and areas for attention.
- Oversee the quality control of marketing materials, websites and presentations to ensure suppliers compliance with legislation, regulations and applicable codes of practice.
- Address any quality issues both internally and with suppliers ensuring the implementation corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Educating employees and suppliers on compliance regulations and the impact of noncompliance on the company and supplier network
- Leading on enquiries from regulators and in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organisations
- Leading on complaints relating to supplier contractual breaches
- Collaborating with department heads and consultants to ensure a consistently high standard of approach is taken with compliance and investigation processes.
- Draft quality system documentation and participate in Quality Management procedures, including leading and tracking of change controls, deviations, nonconformances, quality exceptions.
- Managing own workload, pattern of work and resources based on an agreed work plan.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Required:
- At least 34 years' experience within a compliance or quality assurance role (ideally within a fundraising or selling environment)
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, time management and prioritisation
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder
- Strong attention to detail
- Ethical decisionmaking and courage of conviction
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Highly flexible and adaptable
- Computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
Hours of work
Normal hours of office-based work are 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a 45-minute break for lunch. Hours will need to be flexible due to the nature of the job.
Travel is required to supplier premises across the UK and Ireland for meetings and the performance of audit inspections and attending client meetings as necessary.
