Within our Business Services Team, the Business Technology function (BizTech) provides IT services to over 2,800 users across 18 locations, predominantly in the UK, and is comprised of key functions including the following areas: Technology Change (includingproject management), Security & Governance, Architecture, and IT Service Delivery.


As the main technology oversight for new solutions, they will work with operations resources, and project delivery teams to identify and mitigate risks and issuesto ensure that the target architecture is aligned to the firm's technology roadmap.


Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this role is key part of the BizTech management team will help shape the next stage of maturity as the function grows and develops.

This includes developing a team and supporting key transformation projects suchas our full migration to Cloud.


The role will include KPI and risk reporting to inform key stakeholders such as the Executive board, clients, internal audit and external regulators.

They will ensure that high quality representation is provided including to internal and external auditors,including ISO27001.


Person Specification

  • 5 years' experience in architecture or similar roles with people leadership responsibility
  • Experience implementing technical controls and management processes to support large organisation (2,000 users+)
  • Proven experience implementing security technology improvement initiatives in areas such as ISO27001 accreditation.
  • Bachelor's or preferably Masters degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Architecture is desirable
  • Membership or relevant industry bodies and accreditations including Microsoft certifications and TOGAF
  • Familiarity with the following technologies:
  • Microsoft core infrastructure components (Active directory, SCCM, DNS, DHCP).
  • SD-WAN concepts and Cisco Meraki)
  • Software deployment and endpoint management including Intune, AutoPilot, SCCM)
  • Security and data loss prevention solutions including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection services,MimeCast, DarkTrace, ZScaler.
  • Demonstrable IT leadership experience having defined and delivered complex strategy in areas such as future desktop,ERP proposals and future state including options analysis, and data strategy
  • Track record of leading high performing teams, with examples of staff development and high levels of engagement.
  • Results orientation: ability to set high goals for self and others, focusing on the delivery of targets, quality, and deadlines
  • Communication skills: ability to communicate professional, concise, and accurate information in written and verbal formats. Management of key internal and external stakeholders.
