What you need to succeed

  • You should be experienced in supporting a wider team in assessing all sources of flooding.
  • You will be able to use and manipulate software such as GIS, AutoCAD or Site3D to assist you.
  • Have an understanding and interpretation of flood risk policy and legislation.
  • You will have proven experience in producing Flood Risk Assessments and surface water drainage strategies through a mix of technical expertise and collaboration with colleagues, project teams and authorities.
  • To understand of hydrology estimation (e.g., FEH) and experience in using modelling packages such as Flood Modeller, TuFLOW and Microdrainage.
  • This includes having excellent analytical and report writing skills so you can evidence your assessments clearly and succinctly.
