Agora Talent are excited to be working with an iconic British Retail PLC in their search to find a new Interim Group Financial Accountant.

The role will report to the Group Finance Manager and will ensure that all month-end group accounting and reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner in line with global reporting standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the preparation of monthend consolidation adjustments.
  • Take ownership of the accounting through the monthend timetable and work alongside the Group Central Costs team when necessary.
  • Provide oversight of the overall intercompany reconciliations and provide recommendations to manage balances and resolve any control issues.
  • Work alongside the Group Finance Manager in the preparation of the consolidated Balance Sheet and Cashflow statements.
  • Prepare the Month End Reporting Pack and Group Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Review regional and divisional balance sheets to ensure consistent reporting.
  • Annual Group transaction review, including transfer pricing agreement calculations.
  • Adhoc Year End/Audit tasks as required.
  • Take ownership of the Group Month End timetable.
  • Assist in implementing any new accounting standards throughout the business.
  • Ensure all transactions align with the group accounting standards.
  • Take responsibility for any future updates to the Group Accounting Manual. Partner with different business departments to ensure the Group Accounting Manual meets the collective business's needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of OneStream.
  • Ensure all payments are made efficiently and accurately.
  • Other adhoc responsibilities as required through the regular course of business

Requirements:


  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience working with group consolidations and various subsidiaries.
  • Understanding of and exposure to IFRS reporting standards.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Experience within Retail/FMCG desirable.
