Join us as a Funds Finance Portfolio Management Associate

  • If you're interested in providing support for ongoing portfolio lifecycle management activities across our funds financing portfolio, we'd like to hear from you
  • Daytoday, you'll be focused on subscription lines, NAV facilities, hybrids and GP financing in both Europe and the US
  • You'll enjoy significant variety across a broad range of funds financing products that're delivered in NatWest Markets and have the chance to develop your network

What you'll do:

We'll look to you to be responsible for your own portfolio of existing funds finance transactions.

To do this, you'll be monitoring deal and client performance against specified triggers and working with Technology and key stakeholders to develop and automate the portfolio management process.


Your top priorities will include:

  • Collecting and reviewing reporting data
  • Undertaking trend analysis to identify covenant and trigger breaches or deteriorations in performance
  • Preparing performance reports as required for stakeholders within Private Finance or for broader areas, including the Credit function
  • Monitoring the performance of underlying collateral pools against covenants and triggers on a dealbydeal basis, while identifying and escalating any potential red flags

The skills you'll need:


To be successful in this role, you'll have experience of funds finance, including the subscription line or NAV facilities, in a portfolio management or front office role.

You'll also know how to assimilate large quantities of information.


Furthermore, you'll need:

  • Great data skills, including in relation to the utilisation of Excel
  • Knowledge of how to handle large data sets
  • Coding experience with SQL, VBA and data visualisation tools
  • The ability to work with others to perform complex tasks and adjust your actions in relation to other peoples' needs
  • Excellent organisational skills
