Role Overview:

Rapid7 is seeking talented UX Design students to join our design team.

The UX Design team in Belfast designs, builds and continuously delivers new features to help Rapid7's customers easily use our products to identify and solve their complex cybersecurity problems.

As a UX Design Intern at Rapid7 you will:

Have the opportunity to work with our diverse and cohesive UX team
Help Rapid7's everyday users to efficiently and enjoyably use our cybersecurity software products
Develop your design skills as you work on UX design experiences, from problem definition and experience discovery, exploration, and design through delivery
Learn how our designers proactively influence, manage, plan, and scope UX projects
Participate in meaningful outcomes that contribute to real customer success and company goals
Currently enrolled in a BS or MS degree in a discipline related to UX Design, displaying a strong academic record and seeking a 12 month placement opportunity
Have experience working on projects (either in academically or professionally) with multiple stakeholders where they've managed diverse opinions and driven solutions
Familiar with design systems and tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, or Adobe creative cloud tools
Ability to display strong communication skills both within the team and cross functionally
Growthoriented
Able to work autonomously with great personal project management skills
Comfortable working with ambiguity and in complex work domains
Detail oriented in creating annotated wireframes, documentation, and mockups
Able to understand and articulate interaction design principles and processes
Able to communicate clearly and pitch designs effectively
Familiar with design critiques

We are a hybrid working model at Rapid7 however, we encourage our students to be in the office as much as possible to help their development and building their network. Every team varies on working hours/model but you will be able to discuss this with your manager.
